This guide covers two distinct reenrollment approaches for Apple devices within the CapaOne Mobile Manager platform.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have device access and valid CapaOne Mobile Manager credentials.
Method 1 — Clean Enrollment (Full Wipe)
Use this method when you want a complete reset with no prior MDM associations:
- Locate the device in Mobile Manager
- Open the device page
- Select the action menu (three dots)
- Choose Request → Wipe
The device restores to factory defaults and enrolls as a fresh installation with no previous MDM connections.
Method 2 — Preserving Existing Configuration
Use this method when you want to maintain existing relationships to groups, applications, and policies:
- Navigate to device settings on the iPhone or iPad
- Select Erase All Content and Settings
Following reenrollment, the device automatically reconnects to previously assigned groups, applications, and configurations.
Best Practices
- Use the wipe function in Mobile Manager for a completely fresh start with no retained associations.
- Use the device-level erase option when you want to preserve prior app and configuration assignments after reenrollment.
- If the device is a DEP (Device Enrollment Program) device, verify that the correct default enrollment configurations remain active before proceeding.
